As a private therapist, it is necessary to process information relevant to the following reasons and purposes about clients and professional advisers. This information may include: personal details; family, lifestyle and social circumstances; financial details and employment and education details. It may also be necessary to hold sensitive classes of information that may include: physical or mental health details; racial or ethnic origin; religious or other beliefs of a similar nature and offences and alleged offences.

This information sometimes needs to be shared the individual themselves and also with other organisations. Where this is necessary, it is required that this complies with all aspects of the Data Protection Act (DPA). What follows is a description of the types of organisations with which some of the personal information processed may be shared with for one or more reasons: healthcare professionals; social and welfare organisations; central government; business associates; financial organisations; family, associates and representatives of the person whose personal data we are processing; educators and examining bodies. 

I process personal information to enable me to provide psychological therapy and to maintain accounts and records. Records of therapeutic work are stored safely online in keeping with the guidelines required by the ICO. Please be mindful of what information you share online, including online submissions on this website and email communications.
